All three seem incongruous, yet they live inside and beside each other with great ease. Once here, you’ll soon figure out Rome was build to rule and dominate the world. Everything is on a massive scale, solid and “eternal”.

Rome is the biggest air museum you can find in the world. Rome’s squares are one of the main attractions of the Italian Capital, perhaps ‘the core’ of the city itself, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, Campo de’ Fiori are just the most famous examples of Rome’s amazing squares and places. In Rome you will encounter ancient monuments, medieval and Renaissance buildings and fountains, and great museums.Because of its history, Rome’s is famous to be a full of church city, the most famous is Saint Peter, in the Vatican City, the heart of Catholic Roman Church.

To enjoy the best city view, don’t miss the Gianicolo. From the top terrace your eyes may see al the city and space from left to right, see al the best city monuments, such as Castel St. Angelo, The Pantheon, St.Peter… and so many other infos about Rome.

Public Transportation in Rome

Rome has an extensive bus and metro system (Metripolitana) so you can easily get almost anywhere on public transportation. There is a good transportation map, Roma that’s worth buying if you plan to use public transportation. Look for it in tourist offices, newspaper stands, or souvenir shops. If you plan to stay some days, you should by the more days subscription, if you don’t, you should know that one ticket rate is €1,50 and allows you to use buses for 75 minutes or is valid for one trip in the subway. The most convenient subscriptions are:

  • BIG: Integrated Daily Ticket: €6,00
  • BTI: Integrated Tourists Ticket: €16,50
  • CIS: Integrated Weekly Ticket: €24,00

Rome Tourist Information Offices

There is a tourist office in the train station that can help you find any detailed infos about Rome and gives out maps of the city. Most staff at tourist offices speak English. The main office is on Via Parigi near the Piazza della Republica.

St. Peter's Church

 

To reach San Pietro from the Il Cuore di Roma Guest House will be sufficient to reach the nearby (200m) Trastevere Station to catch a train of the Ferrovie dello Stato (eg. Rome Termini - Pisa Central Africa), in the direction "Stazione San Peter". Once at the San Pietro station in 5min. It can walk to St. Peter's Basilica.

 

The Spanish Steps

To reach the Spanish Steps from the Il Cuore di Roma Guest House, simply go to stop TRASTEVERE / PASCARELLA (250m), take line 8 (direction Argentina) for 7 stops every 4 min. Get off at ARGENTINA. Once in Piazza Argentina, our advice is to walk to the Spanish Steps, in doing so, in fact, you can enjoy the scents, and grasp the characteristic colors of the different streets of the center of Rome. Alternatively, you can take a bus:
Piazza Argentina go to stop VIA TORRE ARGENTINA (100m), take line 119 (COURSE / PEOPLE) for 9 stops. Get off at the stop SPAIN.

The Pantheon

To get to the amazing Roman Pantheon from Il Cuore di Roma apartment Trastevere, is really easy and fast. Just reach the Trastevere/Pascarella tram stop (50mt.). Hop on the tram line #8 to P.zza Venezia. Hop off 7 stops in L.go Argentina. walk to P.zza del Pantheon (600mt.)

Piazza Navona

To reach the Piazza Navona from the Il Cuore di Roma Guest House, simply go to stop TRASTEVERE / PASCARELLA (250m), take line 8 (direction Argentina) for 7 stops every 4 min. Get off at ARGENTINA. From here walk to Piazza Navona (500m).

For our clients we provide a shuttle service to reach from the airports and the port of Civitavecchia.

  • transfers to and from Fiumicino and Ciampino airport € 50.00 for up to 4 persons, from 5th to 8th person we apply a surcharge of € 5.00 each;
  • transfer to and from Civitavecchia € 140.00 up to 4 persons, from 5 to 7 people we apply a surcharge of € 7.00 each.

from 21 hours to 24 hours a supplement of € 5.00 per transfer;
from 24 hours to 06 supplement to be agreed from time to time;

How to reach us from Termini Station

Take a regional train (four departures every hour), price € 0.90. Get off at the Trastevere station. From Trastevere station take Viale Trastevere, the left side, turn left, on the steps, Via Giuseppe Parini, to street number 7.

How to reach from Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino)
Inside the terminal there is a train station that goes directly to Termini Station. The train leaves the airport every hour, from 7:38 am to 22:08, and non-stop, price € 11.00. Tickets can be purchased from the vending machines in the Sale National and International Arrivals and at the railway stations.

How to reach the airport Giovan Battista Pastine Airport (Ciampino)
Terminal, get to the station Ciampino City, connected to the airport by COTRAL / SCHIAFFINI bus every 30 minutes. The journey takes, on average, for 5 minutes. The cost of the ticket, on sale both on board and on the ground personnel, is 1 euro. Once at the station Ciampino City, A light railway connects Ciampino railway station to Termini station in an average time of 15 minutes.
